About
I am a bioarchaeologist specializing in paleopathology, juvenile osteology, & mortuary archaeology. I have conducted fieldwork in Belize & Mexico, & I have been part of the Dakhleh Oasis research project in Egypt since 2004. My research focuses on the health & mortuary treatment of infants & children to better understand connections among biological, social, & physical environments & how these factors affected childhood health & status in the past. I am also interested in adolescence, pregnancy & birthing practices in the past. I also work with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies for the search, recovery & identification of human skeletal remains.
