I am currently conducting a study of the impact of composition class size, as well as the impact of a new "writing-about-writing" (WAW) curriculum. Results for Fall 2009 assessment suggest that both class size and the WAW curriculum have a statistically significant impact on student learning.
We are also working to enact a comprehensive, vertical writing experience at UCF. We are beginning a WAC program, and hoping to integrate composition, WAC, and the Writing Center to encourage some sort of integrated writing experiences across the undergraduate years.
